LETTER: Looks forward to each issue

To the editor:

I look forward to each issue of The Town Line. I especially enjoy the historical articles describing the struggles and accomplishments of our area’s earliest inhabitants, native and immigrant.

Mary Grow’s article on page 8 of The Town Line January 29 issue describing Louisa Barnhart’s Asian trip was fascinating and informative. Ms. Barnhart wondered why Asians are so crazy about Christmas; everybody loves Christmas the world around because it is such a festive time and traditionally includes and welcomes people of all cultures. Jews love Christmas; Irving Berlin wrote White Christmas, Mel Torme wrote The Christmas Song, who doesn’t like roasting chestnuts? Who knows what a chestnut is?!
